The Hobby Lobby Grand Opening, January 8, was a great event which included a ribbon-cutting, coffee and treats, with a large number of shoppers as the doors opened at Clearwater’s newest store.
Mayor George Cretekos and the City Council, members of the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce, and others joined in welcoming Hobby Lobby to Clearwater.
Thanks to Clearwater Council member Doreen Caudell, the photographic record is clear that I enjoyed helping shoppers feel at home by pouring coffee; orange juice was available and other tasty treats.
I also came home with a small purchase–just the right jute webbing I needed to finish the bottom of an old loveseat a friend is reupholstering for me.
New Hobby Lobby employees joined those who transferred in from other Hobby Lobby stores.
This is the first Hobby Lobby in the Tampa Bay region; customers said they were happy for Hobby Lobby’s huge new facility in Clearwater.
Hobby Lobby is located on US 19 and Sunset Point Road, next to Barnes & Noble in Clearwater, Florida.
