Dr Bob Visits Clearwater Beach Library

If you have a few minutes, stop by the Clearwater Beach Library and visit with Clearwater Council member Dr. Bob Cundiff on Wednesday, May 16, from 4-5p.m.

He’ll bring the coffee–you bring the questions.

Dr. Bob visits each of the five city libraries twice during the year, to give residents a chance to meet with him, ask questions and become better informed on what’s going on in city government, from a council member’s perspective.

Active every day around the City of Clearwater, Dr. Bob wishes to learn about each area of the city, each neighborhood. Library visits are just one way to do that.

He can’t make it to all the neighborhood association meetings because of his teaching schedule at St. Petersburg College, but he would like to hear from you if you have any questions or comments about Bright and Beautiful from Bay to Beach, Clearwater, Florida.

Community Prayer Breakfast

At The Salvation Army Clearwater Community Worship Center, the 13th annual William E. Hale Memorial Community Prayer Breakfast this morning brought hundreds of people to pray.

From Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos and the Clearwater City Council, many other city, county and state officials to retired teachers, business executives and law enforcement officers, the community gathered to pray.

Those gathered prayed for our community and caregivers, youth and families, community leaders, officials and members of the armed forces.

The guest speaker was Gary A. Regoli, President & CEO Achieva Credit Union.

Clearwater Beach Sunset

At sunset on Clearwater Beach, hundreds of visitors are enjoying the 9th Annual Clearwater Beach Taste Fest.Dozens of restaurants are gathered at Pier 60 Park, serving samples of their cuisine.

The event was sponsored by the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce.

National Day of Prayer

At the 20th Annual Prayer Breakfast of Pinellas County, Minister Isaiah Myrick was the Keynote Speaker.

The 23-year-old speaker encouraged his audience to trust in God and pray for salvation and deliverance–personally and in our community.

Myrick attends the New Destiny Worship Center.

From the Clearwater City Council was Mayor George Cretekos and council members Hoyt Hamilton and Bob Cundiff.

Mayor Cretekos read a proclamation from the city recognizing the day of prayer.

Clearwater Chief of Police Dan Slaughter also attended.

The Clearwater Police Department Honor Guard presented the flags.

Dr. Psalms Mack led the prayer breakfast.

The prayer breakfast was sponsored by the Pinellas Ladies Prayer Committee of Florida.

The breakfast was held in Matheos Hall at The Holy Church Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater.

Henry family receives flag from Clearwater SAR

The Clearwater Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution donated an American flag yesterday to fly outside the Henry home in Clearwater, Florida.

Dr. Bob Cundiff, past president of the chapter, was proud to present the flag to the happy family.

Clearwater Police Volunteer Awards

At tonight’s Awards Ceremony & Banquet at the Clearwater Country Club, we honored the 9197 hours that police volunteers served this past year, equivalent to $255,000+ in savings to the City of Clearwater.

Clearwater could not do what Clearwater does without the sacrificial service of its hundreds of wonderful volunteers.
