Eagle Scout Stuart Case, son of Richard and Pamela Case of Palm Harbor, was the Clearwater Chapter winner of the Eagle Scout Essay Contest. He was awarded the First Place check, a Certificate and the Eagle scout Medal at the January meeting of the Clearwater Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Stuart’s essay will now be sent to the State level for the State competition.
As the Chapter president, I was honored to present Stuart the Certificate of Recognition.
Stuart is a 10th grader at Palm Harbor University High School. He is a member of Troop 26 in Palm Harbor. He has been very active in Scouting which shows with his 81 merit badges so far. There are 325 requirements for the path to Eagle Scout. Of every 100 boys
who join Scouting, fewer than five will attain the rank of Eagle Scout.

Many of our Clearwater Community Garden gardeners and friends from the Clearwater Garden Club, and City Manager Bill Horne and me were enjoying our very chilly Florida day and LOTS of great homemade soups! The crowd thought it was chilly, but they didn’t spend 15 years in the real cold–Minnesota! And the soups were fantastic!— Thanks Lynn and Russell Posyton for the photo.

Clearwater’s downtown, urban park, is Station Square, surrounded by tall buildings. Events throughout the year are held here.
