More than 70 families have been given a large box of food that will help keep food on the table for the Fourth of July week.

New Bat Dog at Spectrum

Hard working at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida is a new bat-dog, Layla.

Tonight honors the military, including a new empty seat to honor Prisoners of War and Missing in action.

Two parachuters from MacDill Air Force Base landed in the stadium’s outfield before the game.

Good Citizenship Medal Given to Berg at Anclote

Mikey Berg, a senior at Anclote High School in Holiday, Florida, received the Sons of the American Revolution Bronze Good Citizenship Medal Tuesday, May 15, from Dr. Bob Cundiff, past-president of the Clearwater SAR Chapter.

Hundreds of students, family members and school personnel attended the annual awards ceremony.

The award, given by the SAR since 1895, honors outstanding individuals who display qualities of patriotism, volunteerism, and leadership.

Dr Bob Visits Clearwater Beach Library

At the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center Wednesday, Residents of Clearwater Beach and Island Estates came to talk with Clearwater City Council member Dr. Bob Cundiff.

Dr. Bob enjoyed talking with Clearwater librarians at the beach library today.

Cundiff visits each of Clearwater’s five libraries twice a year in order to better keep in touch with residents of Clearwater.

Sons of the American Revolution Meet

The last luncheon of the spring for the Clearwater Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution met Wednesday at the Dunedin Golf Club.

The chapter was pleased to have Daughters of the American Revolution members from Caladesi, Clearwater and Boca Ceiga Chapters.

Holocaust survivor Lisl Porges Schick was the featured speaker.

Jenna DeMott gave a short report from the Clearwater Harbor Chapter of the Children of the American Revolution.

All members of these organizations have ancestors who were active in the American Revolution.

Dr. Bob Cundiff is a past-president of the Clearwater Chapter.
